With so much luxury, it's hard to believe that this ship was launched originally as the tug Dierkow. This was in 1964. In 1994, her new owner Jaap van der Rest acquired the tug and converted her into the yacht J. R. Tolkien. Since then the yacht reliably sails the Baltic.
